Title: Zombie movies.
Post by: PriscillaMarie90 on January 11, 2013, 05:25 am
I want to be absolutely 100% prepared for when Z-Day finally wipes most of us out...

No not really, but my friend has a nice collection of zombie movies, and I want to add more to his collection. I trust you guys will suggest decent movies. so these are the movies he has already:

Zombie Honeymoon
28 Weeks Later
Dawn of the Dead
Flight of the Living Dead
Evil Dead
Dead Alive
Day of the Dead
Day of the Dead 2
Dawn of the Living Dead
Last of the Living
Zombie Diaries
Automaton Transfusion
Land of the Dead
Diary of the Dead
28 Days Later
Trailerpark of Horror
Dead Snow
Re-Animator

Also, he does not want to have Resident Evil movies in his collection, so none of that please LOL... Just toss out some names, any help is appreciated. It can be scary or hilarious, I don't really care. Zombie enthusiasts, I know you're out there, help me here! :)

Didn't see you mention the lighter side of zombies too much:

Shawn of the Dead
Zombie Strippers!
Zombieland

Evil Dead II is the best of the Evil Dead's. I love it.

Did anybody else see that they are remaking Evil Dead? I saw a preview for it when I went to see the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It looked...well...not good. But who knows, I'll probably still see it.

I wish I could add more to the list, but I just can't think right now, haha.

Oh yeah! He does have Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland actually. I'm in love with Simon Pegg. @__@

Wasting Away.
It's a bit of a b- movie, but hilarious. If you can look past poor acting and production values ( being stoned helps)

I highly suggest downlading the 'Extended Mall Hours" fanedit of Romeros/Argentos Dawn of the Dead, 2.5 hours long personally i think this is the best of all the different versions of this great B film.

+1 for mentioning Shaun of the dead before I did.

Poultrygeist is a spoof comedy horror movie about zombie chickens haunting a KFC, or something. funny as fuck

I would add space movies onto you list because I suspect that zombies are just aliens who enjoy eating brains.

Dead Snow is not a bad low budget Foreign zombie film; kinda mocks the Hollywood style & predictability; how can you not love nazi zombies & the massacre at the end is fantastically gory

Zombie flesh eaters or Zombi is also a firm fave. amazingly bad, low budget 70s zombie flick.impressively creative with the deaths, a slow agonizing wait while a woman's eye gets pierced being dragged onto a foot long spinter.

owch!
